Ann Black has been leading writing workshops for the past 20 years. She was one of the first people to be certified by Pat Schneider, founder of Amherst Writers and Artists.
Ann earned her A.B, cum lade, in English Literature from Smith College. She did her graduate work in literature at Wesleyan University. Her work has been published in The Sun: A Journal of Ideas, as well as in small literary journals. As a commercial writer, she has written speeches, magazine articles, brochures and websites. Ann has held several executive level positions in colleges in the U.S. and in Switzerland.
Ann lives in Sarasota after spending two years in Italy and Switzerland. She is currently writing a book about the meaning of home. Besides leading writing workshops, Ann also works as an editor and writing coach for authors working on memoirs, novels and poetry collections.
